I used to always get twelve red roses on Valentines day from an ex boss.

Perhaps a ride in a gondala being serenaded would be the best celebration in Venice, the city of romance.

I love Venice but I think I will honeymoon alone there.
My second most beautiful city in the world. I fell in love with Venice a misty January in an all expenses paid job interview. The Pensione was by the Rialto bridge. The walls were turquoise blue, and the room swayed on the canal. I was mesmerised by watching the gondolas and canal traffic from the window.
At the foot of the bridge, I used to have breakfast in a bar watching the beautiful canal.
That was a wonderful two days. I visited Venice many times after that.

Valentine’s Day, one of my favorite days to celebrate.
