Home Sweet Home
Is your home your castle?
I’m fascinated by architecture, both modern and character, and quaint cottages, houseboats, and beach houses.
I live in a place where the houses are old, but gradually, all the pretty houses are being demolished to make high-rises of 22 stories, destroying the character that tourists come to see, and enjoy.
I could imagine how depressing lockdowns could have been with no outside space in a high rise.
I like to have a garden or outdoor area, especially in the summer.
These little Honey pot houses are in Southern Italy in Puglia. They are in a world heritage site and were bakeries. Puglia is by the sea in the southernmost tip of the heel of Italy.
The first picture, like a miniature castle, was by a canal, and in an auction.
Ronnie Wood of the Stones has chosen to live on a houseboat. I loved living on a boat, but I prefer more space, although rocking to sleep was calming, and watching the water birds.
What style of home do you like or live in? What is essential in a home for you? Space, a garden, size, area, sea, countryside, mountains or hills, city, beach or town?
I have one friend with a hundred rooms. That's too large for me, beautiful though his grand house is.
I can’t imagine what his bills are for electricity, cleaners, etc. It’s way too large.
So describe the place that you live in, location, programs you may watch about houses or renovations.
Would you prefer to live somewhere else, and if so, where? Did you build your home?
Post music, memes, images, trailers, videos, and chat with friends.
Remember, no politics or religious comments, please.
Enjoy LFE!
