Do You Spend A Lot Of Time In The Bath? What Is Your Bathroom Like?
Every time I moved into a new house, the bathroom was always the first to be completed.
I’ve always wanted a bathroom with a sea view or the deserted countryside.
I’ve experienced many bathroom styles around the world. Japan and Turkey were the most tricky.
My Turkish friend asked… Do you know how to use the bathroom…. Of course.
One minute later… Sorry please explain how to use the bathroom.
Usually, two people use a bathroom. ( same sex).
The bathroom had a large round bowl very low on the floor. There was no outlet for the water to run out. The bath was filled from a tap into a bowl and poured into the large bowl.
There were two small stools for seating.
A person is soaped down, and bowls of water are then thrown over them.
The water is emptied onto the floor with the bowls.
The hamam in Turkey scrubs and pummels for about half a day and pours hot water over you. It’s an exhausting experience. Dehyating too. Can’t say I enjoyed it too much.
In Japan, you wear rubber boots and soap and shower out of the tub. Then jump into practically boiling water to soak. Do not add cold water; that's a No-No.
Disinfectant is added - a sort of green color - and everyone uses that water for a week.
Never use soap near the bath.
Bathing appears to be a cultural experience.
The blue and white bathroom was one I tiled in my house. The white bathroom one I like.
I prefer a bath to a shower, but mostly shower in hot weather.
Do you sing in the bath? Post your favorite songs.
What type of soap or bubble bath do you use?
I don’t really like very scented soaps, but vanilla is one of my choices.
Oh, I love tiling and mosaicking, but a builder knocked all the shells off my bathroom wall. I brought the shells from Australian beaches.
Respect all commenters. No religion and no politics, please.
However, we will all send special greetings to our favorite, Mr Lee. He’s having a tough time.
So post music, memes, gifs, music and chat…most of all enjoy.
